Fiss: Family holidays in the winter

There are three villages on our upland plateau: Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis. Let’s start with our home village, Fiss. If you google “Fiss” you will get thousands of hits and most are about holidays, family, the Tyrol, skiing holidays, ski areas, hiking holidays and the like and we think rightly so.

Fiss

Fiss lies amidst the sunny plateau near Landeck, 500m above the valley at an altitude of 1,436 metres, between Serfaus and Ladis. It covers an area of 37.7km² and 1,007 people live here – there are approximately 25 people per km². You can infer from that that Fiss is a mountain village, quiet, picturesque and sunny. And splendidly personal. Despite the boom over the last years, Fiss has remained a village at heart.

Winter holidays in Fiss

Of course Fiss is often mentioned in one breath with the Tyrol’s ski dimension of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis in the winter. The Tyrol’s ski dimensions name is Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis after all and not Serfaus Ladis. And as Fiss is in the centre of the name, it is a central part and key part of the ski area: Thanks to modern lifts, perfectly linked to the network of pistes, there are some specials for skiing holidays with the family right in Fiss. For example “Bertas Kinderland”, the ski school of Fiss or the snowboard fun park at the base station. And if one is speaking of skiing holidays, family and Fiss, then one mustn’t forget to mention – what? Of course, our family hotel, which is located next to the piste, in the middle of the Tyrol’s leading family ski area.

Hotel in Fiss: Our family hotel / Laurentius baby & children’s hotel

Yes, in the centre there is Fiss – there is our Laurentius family, baby and children’s hotel. Our house is located at the upper edge of Fiss, right at the ski piste, merely a 100m from the exercise lift. Over the last years, our Laurentius has become a popular stronghold for winter family holidays. We’re looking forward to welcoming you.
