There's no end to the hiking fun you and your family can have in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis! Your kids will enjoy all adventures our mountains on the Sun Plateau have to offer. There are trails that range from easier walks to even more strenuous mountain hiking, all with our own, experienced guides and naturalists. Or you can take a self-guided hike of your own choice, at your own pace.

But that’s not all - try a different way exploring the mountain: Nowhere else will you find such a rich variety of interpretive and adventure trails and nature trails (either way, an experience you’ll not soon forget)!
Can’t you just hear our mountains calling you?

Many of our trails are stroller accessible - if you don't want to bring your own you can rent a mountain stroller from our reception desk, for free. Baby back carriers are available from our hotel for all other trails (for free, of course).

Thomas Brezina's Mountains of Adventure

Junior visitors to Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis can explore the so-called "Mountains of Adventure". This innovative entertainment program is based on adventure stories by Thomas Brezina, Austrian TV presenter and renowned writer of children's and young adult literature. He is especially known for his series 'The Knickerbocker Gang' and his stories about the talking bike 'Tom Turbo'. Thomas Brezina has teamed up with other creative professionals and turned them into an outdoor adventure experience set in the forested mountain landscape of the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis Holiday Region.
With a special backpack, that is available from the reception desk at Family Hotel Laurentius , little explorers embark on outstanding adventures in the mountains.

They set off from Fiss, equipped with a special backpack containing binoculars, a magnifying glass, a compass and other useful kit. Close to the mid terminal of Schönjochbahn Lift there's the mystical entrance to "The Witch’s Trail". When they finally reach the witch’s cottage they find it upside-down and discover the story behind the story: The witch Grisabella Glockenhaus tried an experiment, and something went wrong. Her cottage flew up into the air and landed upside down on the ground.

A Flying Cottage that landed on its Head in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis/Tyrol

As children follow an enchanting route through the forest in Tyrolese Holiday Region of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, they find an upside-down cottage. They have to solve all kinds of tasks, puzzles and fairytale adventures and demonstrate skill and resourcefulness. They have to recognize strange noises and sounds, for instance, and balance on or climb over obstacles. They see mysterious doors alongside the path and armchairs and mirrors hanging in the trees. Finally, they find out that the objects they came across during their journey, lying on the ground or hanging in the trees, that formed part of the mystery, were all from the witch's cottage.

The Plane Crash Mystery” is another one of the exciting hiking tours devised for the new “Mountains of Adventure” scheme on the Sun Plateau. This trail departs from Serfaus' Komperdell Mountain close to the “Murmli Water Park”. A plane has crashed - all passengers were rescued. But what happened to their mysterious freight?

Plane Forced to Land in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis

All Laurentius STAR kids and their parents - equipped with a special adventure backpack containing useful equipment such as a compass, binoculars, magnetic rod and other kit, as well as a newspaper with eye witness reports, embark on an exhilarating journey to find out what happened. The further they progress, the more jettisoned objects they discover.

The story is pieced together like a jigsaw puzzle as the circumstances of the event are elucidated. Suspense is sustained until they finally learn the whole story and find out whether the pilot was a man or a woman, and what has happened to him or her in the meantime.
Equipped with the same „adventure backpack“, kids will then explore the third trail of the Mountains of Adventure program, the “Explorer Route”. They say that a quirky explorer once lived in a tree house close to Obladis ...
